Hey you, Resolutioner!
Updated: Jan 16, 2020
Happy Sunday evening, cozy community! I know it’s been a while between posts-you know how crazy the holidays can be; but tonight I’m back and talking resolutions! I know, rather cliche coming 2 days before the turn of the new year-heck, the the turn of the century! But as I sip on some tea by the fire tonight, I’m feeling inspired to kick things off on the right foot, and I hope to spread some of that inspiration to you! So read on, resolutioner for some tips tricks:
*Make them specific-“I want to get into shape” or “I want to eat more vegetables” is too broad. By saying “I want to lose (or gain) X pounds” or “I’m going to add a vegetable to each dinner” it sets a more specific thing to reach for.
*Make them attainable-I’m not saying you can’t achieve anything you set your mind to, but really think about what you’re willing to put in to your resolutions to get the most out of them.
*Timeline-set a timeframe for when you want to be accomplishing things by. This will hold you accountable and keep you on track!
*Track your progress-To all my planner and calendar peeps out there, this ones for you! Each time you get that workout in or you inhale that vegetable with dinner, give yourself a mark or a sticker or whatever it may be. By seeing all the progress you’ve made, the more motivated you will be to keep going!
*Reward yourself-change is a process, and these things aren’t going to happen overnight. So make sure you give yourself a reward every once and a while. Have a cupcake for dessert, sleep in one morning, have that extra glass of wine! But remember not to forget what you started and why you’re making these resolutions.
*Be proud-lastly be proud of yourself for setting these resolutions and getting after them! Like I said before, this is a process. It’s not going to be easy, but if you set your mind to it, you can do anything!
Happy (early) New Year, cozy community! Let’s crush these resolutions together!
